Goal from a backpass!

Terrible sportsmanship and, yes, it was a deliberate shot all the way. He saw the keeper off his line (in anticipation of the backpass) and lobbed it over him.

Just highlights why you should never play the ball out for an injured opponent. The ref can stop play if it's a serious injury.

certainly a bizarre moment and one that will live in the memory of all concerned for a long long time. did he mean it ,only he will know for sure but that isnt the dilemma ,what could have been done differently ,i really dont know as he didnt break the rules of football. maybe what has been suggested by piece would have been the way to go .maybe the ref could have blown for a foul throw or something .one thing im glad about is that it wasnt me that had to decide either way.

Not sure if this has been posted on here before but this is shocking

Just sums up the lack of sportsmanship in football these days - win at all costs

Happened in a game a few years ago, the captain of the scoring team quite rightly told his players to stand aside at the re-start and let the other side score one back. As a side note that horrible little ****house Diego Costa tried to score from one yesterday, luckily the ref saw what was happening and blew for the worlds softest foul against him, probably the only decision he got right all game

The right thing to do would be to allow the oppo to walk a goal in.

Football has this solution when this occurs, can't see what all the fuss was about.

If a precedent has been set that the above happens then let it, otherwise, for kick outs due to injury the ball should just be rolled out for a GK when thrown back in.
