Guys, been looking at leccy trolleys for a while. Best value for money seems to be the go kart ones. Anyone own one that wants to share their thoughts?

Standard over the auto? Is it worth it? I don't seem to be bothered with the auto bit, should I be? Also what's it like for your cart bag? Good non twist? I assume the standard battery will be fine for me, can't remember the last time I played 36 in a day.

I upgraded to the auto but to be honest the standard one is perfectly functional and I don't know I am really getting that much more for my bucks with the auto. That aside it folds up small enough to fit in a tiny Fiesta boot with ease, is light and easy to assemble and the standard 18 hole battery will do 36 holes but it isn't recommended to do it on a regular basis. It will be fine as an ad hoc. Add in the brilliant after sales service and I think the GK is a great trolly

I have standard one with the go kart bag. No problems for me. Got it 2 years ago and sent it back once. Was actually me that was the problem. Hadn't been ensuring the battery was fully clicked in. Seeing a lot of them around my home course lately. Looks wise they are a bit marmite but it's for carrying a golf bag. Last time I checked they don't do golf trolley beauty contests.

I've heard the auto feature is quiet nice but could be best to get standard now then upgrade and extend warranty in the future.

My wife had a standard one for a couple of years, and for her birthday this year I paid for the auto upgrade. Her initial reaction to the auto feature was that she hated it and wanted it reversed. Turned out she had a particular way of grabbing the handle that meant the switches were not activating properly. After talking it through with GoKart she decided to persevere and now she is reasonably happy with it, but says that in hindsight she doesn't think it was worth it.

The only other problem she had is that one very cold day she dropped it in the car park and the main handle fractured. The fact that it's all plastic probably means that very cold weather can make it brittle. As ever, GoKart's amazing service sorted her out (lent her a replacement trolley while hers was fixed).

I like mine. The auto was a bit weird to get used to (even though I've never owned an electric trolley). Although plasticy, it is really sturdy and never have any problems with hills UNTIL you need to stop. As it's lightweight and has no brake, you need to faff about often (or certainly, I do) to position it across the slope until it stays still.

I wasn't happy initially about how the battery went in and how it was integral to the trolley. The instructional video wasn't really helpful, but after a while you get used to it and I can set the kart up in less than 30 seconds from the boot of my tiny car.

Does the job for me but I'd gladly pay an extra £50 to have a brake installed.

Scott, we will have a GoKart to be auctioned on the H4H day if you are interested. Think it will be the standard one.

I had the standard, paid the upgrade. Great trolley. Folds up small. No bag twist problems. Standard battery is absolutely fine. Does 18 and then some. Customer Service excellent.

was the upgrade worth it? Well it was as it included a full service and warranty extension. In terms of use, doesn't make a huge difference. I don't actually use the trolley at the moment, as carrying the bag burns a few extra calories for me (and I need an inferno believe me) but it is an excellent trolley.

Will it have the pink battery cover?! That's the one I really want! ;)

Thanks rich.. Out of interest, will auction items need cash on the day?? I am like the been and never have cash as it goes missing from my wallet overnight!!

Living near to the Gokart factory, I took mine in and had the auto feature added. This also extended the warranty by 2 years and they titivated mine up at the same time after I had given it a bit of a bashing. I like the auto as on full speed I couldn't catch the thing and I often used to nudge the speed dial by accident!

Good question. Cash on the day is fine, but usually payment is made on Rick's H4H site afterwards. No excuses for not bidding !!

If you would like a pink bag to go with the trolley I will speak to Sandy.;)

Awesome, means I can sneak any purchases away from the prying eyes of HID... My card has the H4H as a fav payment address!!!

when I won the GK at last years H4H auction I was offered a choice of colours, I elected to stick with the red option that was there on the day. I have the Auto version and it does the job perfetly.

I have an auto go kart and love it, really easy to use although it can take a little getting used to driving. it is so easy to put up and take down too. Not he quietest out there but nothing too bad.

Have had mine over a year not and I believe if you send it back before the warranty expires for a service they will give you another two years warranty.

It may be nice to have the run on function some have but have never had it so do not miss it. I think in there sales spiel they say the auto is better for battery life but may have dreamed that....

I got mine upgraded, and I'm still undecided if it's better or not. Great to have had the extra warranty though.

Can't say that I've ever found it a hassle to position it on a slope due to no brake, but maybe I'm not as demanding of my kit.

Still a wonderful trolley and service is awesome.

Scott I have the std GoKart and I have only good things to say about it. My battery is the 18 hole type but it has always managed 36 holes when I have needed it to. (coped with Cooden 36 holes and the battery is a few years old!!) Also the standard controls work fine, the automatic is a matter of choice. I got use to the manual control and I am happy to stick with that for the time being.

Value for money and customer service 10/10:thup:
