This happened twice while I have played in Florida ( will try and find pics)
once my my ball landed next to green within 2 foot of a gator, he turned around and looked at me as I walked towards ( then passed it) lol leaving ball where it was!
on the 18th at shingle creek a big 12 ft monster decided to have a nap 10 yards in front of green on the fairway! You dos not notice it was there until you came over the hill and greated by his opening jaws lol

I had that at Poinciana in Florida as well by the green and on a tee as well, We left the balls on the green and didn't collect them and we used the red tees instead on that hole.
Incredible sight but slightly nervy all the same.
