There was an "oldest club" thread recently and of course the "bought today" thread plus a few others - reading on here is like being tested by temptation frequently.

Anyway, I realised it is just about 18 months since I was lucky enough to have my name come out the hat for a GM opportunity - and I still have all three cubs in the bag. Is this normal, or am I a freak? Does not having handed over the hard earned readies make us more likely you change sooner? Most of us have had that thing when a new (to you) item seems great for a while then the magic dust wears off.

Have started wondering, what if...

The magic dust wore off my R1 Driver, the Rocketbladez irons are well and truly in the bag, unless i get flush and buy some Rsi irons which i have had a play with!

Big Bertha still in my bag - 10 months and counting ( a record for a driver for me this century)
It had a break towards Autumn as we had a falling out but we're friends again now.
Hit it like a Tart on Friday, striped it today.
Its not going anywhere!

Unless I win a replacement..

Didn't have a choice with the Ping Shea (H) putter I was fitted for courtesy of GM & Ping in May 2013.

In July 2013 some thieving toe-rag broke into our garage and stole a load of kit including aforesaid putter.

I got my R11S Driver and 3 Wood from the Wentworth TM Fitting in December 2011. I haven't really looked at any other replacements to be honest, I was fitted for them so unless I lose a lot of beef or my swing changes for some other reason I cant see me changing any time soon.

Yeah but you could stick a running bird on a shiny dog turd and they'd need new pants.

Ha, quality

I have one of the aforementioned JPX850s. As yet, it hasn't made it into the bag but then i haven't played in a couple of months, so that's neither here nor there.

I hope it gets into the bag and stays there. I'd feel guilty if I didn't feel like I could use it.

Not from the GM, but I won some clubs from Foremost Golf Magazine about 7 years ago. 3 Nike Sumo² hybrids and matching 3 wood. Two of the hybrids are still in my bag (the third one and 3 wood are in my wife's bag), I've looked and tried many hybrids over the last 7 years but not found any that do any better. These are the longest serving clubs in my bag.
