GM Forum users online

Just noticed the stat showing users online and most users online.........

2 things jumped out...

1. There was nearly 7000 users on the forum at the same time on Dec 14th 2012 at 11.58AM what was happening that day and time?:clap:

2. There always seems to be hundreds of non registered users on (lurkers), wonder why? :mmm:

Can't comment on the above specifically but I never log out or close the browser. Simply leave a tab open on my iPad and refresh the main menu.

The 7000 users was discussed elsewhere but a setting had been changed behind the scenes and instead of the usual 20 minute period I think it kept folk "registered" for ever.

The lurkers part will be mostly search engine spiders looking at pages.

Lies, Damned Lies and Stats again...

Guests are not so much lurkers (a negative term) , but browsers (a neutral/positive one). Plenty of 'newbies' first posts mention that they've been lurking/browsing for a while

I was a "lurker" for a while before I decided to start posting. I read a few threads and saw some negative comments towards new or 28hcap golfers so I wasnt sure about it.
