Am a fan of the ByTheminGolf podcast and State of the Game podcast. Well most of the time unless it descends into old people rambling on about the good old days which it can have a habit of doing. So will give this one a try.

Hopefully it will offer some opinions and insight, and not be an audio version of the companies marketing spiel where 'everything is awesome'. As one I listened to was (not a GM one I hasten to add).

For us gear geeks I thought it was well worth a listen.

Mike, the 9031 hybrid, what shaft do you play in it? Does it launch well?

Hi tsped shaft in it (and indeed all my other adams hybrids - 16 and 19 deg XTD ti) is the UST Mamiya VTS-Tour SPX - fitted at Golf Principles. Love them. Launches mid/high but it is 23deg!

A volume control would be good!

(6 minutes in and you were still talking about the Taylor Made M1 and I lost interest.)

Sorry Nick, not sure what you mean by volume control? Was it too loud or too quiet on the device you were listening on? Assume you tried turning it up or down to a level that you found acceptable?

Ref M1 the reason we discussed it in depth was not only because of the multiple tech stories (carbon crown, T track, extensive OEM shaft options at no upcharge) but also because of TM product life cycles and relating that to performance vs. the model it replaced (R15)

If you’re not interested in those sorts of topics/discussion points then future gear podcasts probably wont be for you!

Hi Mike,

Thanks for the reply, what I meant was that there wasn't a volume slider/adjustment on the "pop-up" (or whatever it's called), at least not one that I could find, so it was initially too loud until I could remember where my laptop volume adjustment was.

The TM thing is just my bias against them as a manufacturer so yes, you're probably right, the podcasts won't be for me.

Thanks chaps enjoyed listening to that. Is there any way to subscribe to future podcasts? Mike it seems as though we have similar tastes in shoes. I have a couple of pairs of XPS-1s and a pair of Hyperflex which I love. I do need another pair though so following your trip to Boston should I stick with Hyperflex or twist and wait for the next FJ offering?

And Jake I'm looking at the top end of my bag and curious about F6+ vs King Ltd. What is your view on those two clubs in a head to head?

That was a good listen. I like how you all had different views on each topics.

Mike is right - love my Adams Hybrid / driving iron. Wouldnt replace it ever.

Tiger there is a new FJ shoe coming at the start of the year - you may have seen the teasers with the frog. I'd say hold on until you see that. Will be different to HyperFlex/XPS1 in that it's not so much of a stability platform but it will still offer a lof of grip.

Nice and easy to listen to. Is this listed on iTunes and if not is it going to be? Means I can easily subscribe and get it on my iPod so listen to it in my car.

I don't think you'll see masses of difference between the two in terms of performance (the F6+ is the lowest spinning club in Cobra's 2016 line-up when the weight is forward but can also be more forgiving and higher launching when the weight is back), so it'll probably come down to other factors.

The F6+ is around £30 cheaper looking at the RRPs, and comes in three colours and has the extra sole CG adjustability, so would pip the LTD on paper for me. However each of us is different when it comes to looks and feel, so best to test them and see which you prefer!

Underneath the track there are four buttons, one of which is a little arrow pointing down to a line symbol, which is the download button

That be the one that says Download on it then? Doh.

I'd bet my life that that was not there the first time I looked. Honestly.....

Was driving home for Christmas last night and as Chris Rea is a pile of &$£&$ I listened to the podcast instead. And enjoyed it, nice one, am a sucker for blokes rambling on about golf equipment so it was right up my street.
