Last month I was lucky enough to get selected for a great GM opportunity.

Along with Heinz57 and Rip-it we were given a one-to-one bunker lesson with Tour Coach Clive Tucker who works with many of the top players - G Mac and Thomas Bjorn to name but two.

I can't thank the guys on the mag, Jezz and Kevin or Clive enough for a day that has really helped my game so much - not just bunker play either but the swing tips he gave me have transformed my ball striking beyond all expectation..

Here's what happened.

Such a difference JD, you've gone from getting it out to flying it out. I bet you actually dont mind being in bunkers now with that improvement, this will undoubtedly lead to more confident fairway shots as you arent as tight over shots with lots of bunkering. Great stuff. :)

That was a good day and one that I really wanted to be picked for, it looks like he sorted your bunker issues very successfully

Really good videos and I can see personally problems in my own play in all 3!

after watching has now made me want to. Oil a lesson with my pro !

Did have a cuckkle when he says 'a technique you very rarely see'.

It was interesting hearing him say that the technique is good for a pin a fair distance up the green, as it runs the ball up, as I almost always try to fly it all the way to the hole. Always up for trying something new, cheers:thup:

Very interesting. How has it progressed?

It's helped a hell of a lot - particularly greenside when short-sided, as I can (when I do it right) get the ball a lot closer with less run out.
But the real benefit was the tip about the wrist-cocking - or lack of in my case - I have applied it to all shots and brought my takeaway and finish into a much more symmetrical plane, much less flatter around my body and a lot more 'up and down' which has worked wonders.

I like to think that's because I'm a very unique player. :D :mmm::whistle:

I'd like to learn his 'unique technique' please. sounds handy.

Wow

A lot of people have told me that I'm unstable - I guess this confirmed it (and that it extends to my golf..) :confused:

What a great day with Clive, Jezz and Muzza and thank you once again to them for setting this up. I'm now much more comfortable playing from bunkers and the stability drills have helped on other shots as well.
