I currently use the Vice glove for a number of reasons, however I have now abused all of my stock and trying to re order it appears they are out of stock.

I will need to buy at least 1 new glove this week as I have the all important Whippersnappers V Old Farts match this weekend so what are people using that they find good?

If anyone is familiar with the size of a ML Vice glove and can recommend something that is of equal size then that would be great as it is the best fitting glove I have found to date.

FJ Cabrettasof is very good. Heard good things about the Pure Touch, so ordered a few but not had the chance to try them out

Srixon Hybid is a fantastic glove.. a fiver in Sports Direct just now, but you're taking a lottery on size for in-store stock assuming there are any left as it has been taken off their website; the Dunlop NZ9 is a decent glove also and less than £4 a go.

FJ Cabrettasof is probably the most similar design but I can recommend Wilson Conform. Leather is soft. Seams have been good on every glove I have had and they are durable. The mesh makes them nice and breathable as well. I used to use sciflex before switching to these. Work out about £8-9 depending where you can get them. I usually use ebay.

American Golf stock them so maybe possible to try one on there?

Depends on how much you want to spend and what type of glove you want

For full leather then

Srixon Cabretta , FJ Cabrettasof ( i use them ) are both very well priced full leather gloves - as is the stasof

The pure touch and Titliest players are both full leather but a bit more expensive - for me they are no different than the Srixon and Cabrettasof

Then you have loads of part leather/part synthetic - weathersof , sciflex etc all a little cheaper

Agree, these are great gloves for the money. You can usually find them on the bay for about £26 for 3

Callaway Cabretta, pack of 3 for £17.00 (plus tip), various sizes including your ML.

I'm bringing some to Forest Pines for some people, I can't split them and get stuck with any so you need to commit to the pack.

The TM tour preferred glove is my glove of choice. It feels a lot like the Titleist Players glove but for £12.99 on Scottsdale Golf. I much prefer the thinner types of glove. I find the footjoy etc slightly too thick. The under armour gloves are actually decent too, but slightly thick

I tried to reorder too, I emailed them and it's a 6 weeks wait for the stock to come in.

Went back to Srixon Cabretta leather. Im large in both. Clubhouse golf do a good deal if you buy 3!

Ive been using the taylormade targa - can get them at a good price ususally around £10 mines lasted a lot longer than I expected.

I used to get the targa but struggled to find them after a while, then Scottsdale started going the tour preferred for that price. Wouldn't mind using both. Really good gloves

i got 3 Mizuno leather from my mate for £10 a while ago and 3 Srixon Cabretta from the pro at Tain for £15. the Srixon def last longer.

Am I the only golfer who really thinks the golf glove is the most over thinked and least important item to us as golfers, not regarding not wearing one- I need one myself - but I've yet to wear a glove and thought that's a horrible fit or grip of the club- all the makes I've ever tried Mizuno, FJ, callaway etc have all been absolutely fine

I disagree. I find cheap gloves tend to have protruding stitching at the top of the fingers which is incredibly uncomfortable, which is made worse when the glove gets even slightly wet. Gloves such as the Titleist Players and FJ Pure Touch do not have this, the quality of the stitching is so much better making the glove much more comfortable. But maybe I'm just fussy.

You're very lucky then. I find a lot of gloves don't suit the size and shape of my hand, and so are in fact worse than not wearing one at all. A glove must be well fitting in order to do it's job. If it is uncomfortable, then it's distracting and means I cannot concentrate on making a good swing.

Mygolfspy did test recently, only looked at results but the Ping tour glove was awarded the top spot in the leather/premium category. Their tests are usually fairly in depth.
