Saw a long driving demo with a couple of blokes sponsored by Adams golf a few years ago. One of the stunts was to smash a ball through a piece of plywood or chipboard. When you looked at the hole close up afterwards you couldn't get a golf ball through it; the ball was elongated when it made the hole, so narrower in circumference, so when in its normal round state was too small for the hole. Very strange.

It's surprising how much us amateurs compress the ball too. The next time you flush one with your driver have a look at the face afterwards. It is surprising how much of the ball has made an imprint.

That isn't real. I have no evidence to prove it but there is no way in my opinion that that is a real golf ball

No, but plenty can get a ball speed of 150mph
