Gleneagles in trouble.

Its all in our culture, give to the rich steal it from the poor. Make the working class worse off to satisfy the fat cats.

So, as loses continue, the bosses pay themselves big bonuses paid for by cut backs behind the scenes

I've said for years that these tw*ts should have to answer to someone.

If your not happy about BT you can complain the OfCom

If your not happy about your water you can complain to Ofwat

If your not happy about your kids school you can complain to Ofstead

Surely if the public isn't happy about these tw*ts in any company, they should have a body to complain to.

OFTW*T

Maybe then the bankers, oil company bosses, company CEOs and MPs etc etc wont be allowed to pay themselves huge bonuses when everybody else is struggling.

Rant over

Where's my revolution book.....

As far as I am aware Diageo is a private company, have taken money from noone (except those that but the lovely guinness) so can pay their directors/staff as much as they see fit. So now you are complaining about companies making money eh??
:D

This is typical of the BBC in recent months, over-hype.
One of the largest companies makes an operating loss at one of it's hotels of £780,000, yet it's revenue is 33.6 million and the companies annual revenue was 12.23 BILLION in 2009. :D I wouldn't worry about that. As for the director's pay, we don't know what 50% is worth and it is of no business or interest to me as I'm not a shareholder in the company.

have to agree with bob & thecraw here the article tells us "however costs have been cut behind the scenes" how do you think this was ? pay cuts ? redundencies? but the top dogs are geting 50% pay rise , the pay rise was "based on new targets based on the down turn"? so what? their new target is to only increase the losses £225,000 thats great here a 50% pay rise .. this is a disgrace &OK yes its a private company & they can pay their staff what they like but with these fat cats geting their bonuses its the ordinary people in the company that are been let go & taking
pay cuts to sustain this . & this is the point people are trying to make.. also ordinary golfers like ourselves are saving up for the privalage to play here & it is so special too, while the top dogs are geting paid more & more , on a realistic basis does anybody deserve to get paid more when your business is loosing money? seriously?

Yes. It isn't necessarily the employees fault if a business loses money. My business lost money during the last recession and I still had to give my staff an annual pay rise. I didn't object, as it wasn't their fault profits were down.

Fair play Clive your obviously one of the decent guys, but did you give it to all your staff or just your top staff, the fact just the top brass got looked after when there were cut backs elsewhwere is the hard bit to take, did your business loose money or profit , if it lost profit wel ok your still making some money , but i find it hard to see how you could pay out more when theres less/not enough coming in..(NOT questioning you just commenting mate) the problem with gleneagles is it paid its top people the bonus while there were costs cut behind the scenes.. that doesnt seem fair to me mate
