I have to start wearing glasses for reading and picked up first pair last night but when looking online to get more choice for an extra/spare set I'm struggling to find frames with straight legs (cant do that hooked leg design thing) I only had about 3 frames to choose from in the store so pretty limited selection

Must have looked at over 2,000 frames so far, anyone got any recommendations please of where I can browse? All I've really found so far is some of the Nike range which seem to have straighter legs than most

Thanks in advance

Just a thought from someone who's eyes are also double glazed, why not buy a pair of prescription type frames from a local opticians ( or supermarket in store opticians ) and ask them to transfer the lenses from a off the shelf magnifying pair to the frames that you like .

Im sure they would do it for you as they are getting the sale of a glasses frame out of it.

They might even have access to a catalogue of frames that are not widely available.

I use sensible ones from Ebay. Postage might be a problem for you though!

They are not a fashion item for me - purely functional.

I'm still using +1.0 that I started using in 2008.

Most of the Oakley styles have straight arms. They do a prescription range so not all sunglasses.

They're expensive if you buy retail with Oakley lenses but you can usually pick up frames cheaply on auction sites and then get a local optician or online lens fitting service to put lenses in. Bit more hassle but I've saved £hundreds doing it.

Slightly off topic OP but I had laser eye surgery 12 years ago, best thing I've ever done by a country mile.
If you can afford it and your prescription allows I'd definitely recommend it.

SelectSpecs.com
I have just ordered here for the first time but reviews look good.
Loads of brands and 3 I looked at first had straight legs (2 mentioned already).
Nike, Oakley & Adidas. Looks like a long browse unless someone else can narrow through experience.
