Taking my older lad to first footie match tomorrow at Celtic Park, not Celtic fans but going for a day out, I haven't been to a football stadium since 1991 and never to celtic park, hear parking can be a bit of a mare so hoping some locals can give me parking advice, hoping city street parking is free on Sundays somewhere between city centre and stadium, and just walk for 15 or 20 mins is fine. We're driving from around 2.5 hours away coming in from west on the M8, leaving Mrs at Braehead. How early should I be to avoid the masses for a 1230 KO. We're sitting in the west end of the ground.

Thanks for any advice.

Try the Forge shopping centre car park it's only a mile or so away. Don't park in any nearby housing schemes, and don't leave anything in view in the car. Be careful who you cheer for
Hopefully a better informed Celtic fan will be along with some better advice shortly.

No need to rush to get there as it's been a good few year since they have had a full house so getting in won't be a problem, one bit of advice I was given a few year ago was to take a clothes peg for your nose cos its a little bit smelly.

Never been so can't be sure if it's true or not

Match report ?????.
Terrific outing, both enjoyed it, beautiful sunny day, little bittersweet seeing Celtic lift the trophy at end being a Dons fan but realistically Aberdeen have about as much chance of winning the league up here as say Leicester in England.....hold on!:p Celtic played beautifully, know they're an attacking team by nature but they use the width of the park really well, stretch the opposition and Motherwell couldn't get near them, 7 goals of which at least 4 were worked very well, crowd of 49,000 so stadium was fairly full and at times very loud, seemed like a very friendly environment to me, lots of women and kids, whole families which is good. Enjoyed the magnificent 7 tune played when 7th goal went in, enjoyed the pitch invader run the stewards around at the end too.
Will hopefully be less than 25 years until my next match and will try and get to Ibrox next season for parity, see who has the best supporters really;). Great passionate crowd at Celtic, quite impressed.
Biggest cheer by miles when the players went up one by one for the trophy presentation was for young full back Tierney, seems like he's a Liverpool target now. Think Celtic fans are content to see the back of Ronny Deila, has tried his best but he's not convinced the faithful.
