I recently enjoyed a game here in Spain with a Clydebank couple. The gentleman promised to send me DVDs of a TV programme called ''Still Game''. I'd never seen this show but it's the funniest thing I've seen in years. Don't know what the the Scottish posters think of it but I think it's f****** brilliant. Ford Kiernan and Greg Hemphill are out of this world, as are all the other actors in the show. Scottish comedy is excellent.

I loved Rab. I did occasionally struggle to understand some words and I have a couple of Glaswegian friends with diluted accents.
Didn't one of his sons from the show hit on hard times in real life?

Yup, "Wee Birnie" was the character's name. Can't remember the actor's name or exactly what happened to him.

He died in 1996 after an operation. He was also in a bad way with depression and was involved with some child porn stuff that ended his acting days. His name was Eric Cullen.
