Been keeping an eye on the sub-forums thread and just wondering what has happened to our small but stalwart band of ladies - anyone seen Barb around?
or is anyone hiding a wife/girlfiend/partner who could be here keeping me company? Have been made v. welcome by you guys, but hoping there are a few women readers out there.

Not quite the thread I'd thought it'd be!!

But quite right AliB. There must be more females out there that share the same frustrating hobby that us men do. I think that we're a friendly bunch on here.

As a side. Do you use 'women' specific clubs and balls, or 'men's' clubs and balls? Just interested, as obviously we all talk on here about mens clubs, balls etc.

I've not heard anything from barb for a while so I hope she is ok. Maybe when the forum pages in the mag become a shiny double paged spread there may be more of a female presence. If there are any ladies lurking in the shadows you are more than welcome to help AliB keep the female flag flying

Hi hapless
I have women's clubs - Callaway irons and Mizuno woods - the driver was previously owned by a junior boy). Occasionally 'borrow' clubs from Mr B to try but tend to prefer the bendier shafts (technical term?) of ladies kit.
It is a annoying that you don't get such big discounts on ladies' stuff - less competition.

I guess that all the marketing is aimed at male golf products, and unusually for marketing, they use blokes, as oppossed to women to do this. So how do women go about finding kit to suit them when it's not advertised and not featured heavily in the golf shops? Is there a specialist 'female' only golf shop?
