Get ready for the Wenger dummy being spat....

Ah yes, forgot about that. If RVP's second yellow was "in the rules" then Abidal surely should have had the same fair treatment? As far as I understood, raising the hands to another player or official warrants at least a yellow card, but usually it's a straight red.

Barca are the Manure of the whole of Europe. Get away with murder.

I dont understand this 'not being able to criticize' the Ref thing as well - I mean, surely Wenger is entitled to his opinion, and what difference would it make after the game anyway ??

Sure, I wish FIFA/FA and whoever else would clean up football ON the pitch, but I think its fair game to talk freely and openly AFTER the game, without fear of reprisal etc - its crazy.

listened to it on the radio so im at the mercy of how the commentators told it,im not an arsenal fan im just a footy fan

Im not going to go into how well Barca played and outplayed Arsenal thats been covered already

the refs have to take into the account that the noise 95,000 ppl make and surely give the benefit of the doubt to the player on it that he didnt hear it

also how many times have ppl taken whistles to games to try and put players off

its a complete different situation to play actually being stopped and a deliberate attempt to stop an attacking quick free kick being taken

in this multiball setup that football has now not much time is actually being wasted and if any time is wasted the ref can easily add it on in stoppage time

to book a player who's in full flight and might be zoned in so much that he doesnt actually hear is just daft

yes its in the laws of the game etc, but i say its another one of the daft ones that doesnt need to be there

I think it's a respect thing. I don't get it either, but it's the same in every sport. You're not supposed to critise the official's calls as it belittles them and their authority on the game.

. How long can he get away with masquerading as a top manager? .

Are you pished or just plain blind dodger how is he not a top manager ?

We have not finished outside the top 4 for over 10 years now
we have quailifed for later stages of champions league for last 13 years and the semi finals 2 years ago as well as the final in 2006 You tell me which manager could better that without spending the mega millions like man ure, liverhoof or even the tiny totts ( without any success I mite add) ??

Yes barca had alot of the match last night but we were still ahead in the tie until the ref fixed it for barca (and before you start were not looking to join your conspiracies gang)

And finally so what we haven't won a trophy in six years and counting but so what that's our problem not yours or the press

Oh, and for what its woth......despite Barcelona being so 'unbeleivably fantastic/slick/skillful' etc etc etc.......is it just me that finds them just boring to watch ???

Yes, it probably is just you that finds Barcelona boring to watch
Nope; it's not. I get bored watching Spanish football because for all the intricate passing and trying to dance it into the goal, then end product is a LONG time coming.

I happily flicked between that game and the cricket / Roma game last night, owing to frustration. Every now and again, there's nothing wrong with a cross field pass or throwing it into the box (although most Spanish sides have little height up front).

As a true Arsenal fan Wenger is a god I wouldn't have anyone else at Arsenal

What I do not understand is as a non Arsenal fan Dodger, why you have such strong feelings towards him is it because he is a VERY successful football manager and you are just someone who likes to moan on a golf forum

Wenger inherited a great team and managed to win trophies with many of them still around but over the last 6 years he has been found wanting.Top manager? Jesus,he's so great he can't see which parts of his teams need strengthened despite it being apparent to all and sundry!

Could you imagine SAF leaving both his Goalkeeping department and central defence lacking?? Could you....honestly??

No, I didn't think so.

No, I didn't think so.

Wenger inherited a defence. He then prolonged their careers, you only have to listen to the old boys and see how highly they regard him.

Fergie, wouldn't get caught short and have to play Smalling and Brown in central defence would he.....honestly?

No you're ri.........oh hang on a minute

Regardless of all the bickering, Wenger has won shag all for 6 years now (and maybe more to come) got totally outplayed by Barcelona, did they even have a shot on target? but dont worry 'cos they have little debt What is going to happen when Fabregas leaves you can rely on Bendtner I suppose

Errrr,was that not through injury/suspensions?

Wenger CHOOSES to play pish defenders as his 1st choice!

I don't really see that a choice of Koscielny, Djourou and Vermaelen is so bad. As good as most other teams in the premiership. Give it a couple more years, and they will be up there with the best. Squillaci I'll give you, but he's a fourth choice.

Ditto for keepers. Chesney will be a top keeper. Almunia did well against Barca, and Fabianski was playing well at the start of the season. This area is not the weak link I thought it would be.

Could do with another defensive midfielder though to help Song.

Dodger hates Wenger we get it what happened didn't he return your calls ahh

You dont support Arsenal so why do you care I support Arsenal I think Wenger is one of the best managers of all time

How many managers have done a double not many then how many have done two, how many have gone a full season unbeaten in the english premier league, a few, two, one.

Wenger has chosen to develop a side rather than buy one I as an Arsenal fan am very happy with that and I do not think he is that far away, for someone who obviously hates them you should be happy he hasn't won for 6 years or am I missing something
