Get in villa!!!

Great result for villa, they look a decent side and I'm glad they've stuck that mid season form behind them. I reckon another draw will see them safe, and even at that it might not be needed
 
Another massive win today and the Villa have really shown some form throughout the most crucial part of the season... BUZZING!!!
 
A big win and looks as if they've pulled themselves out of the mire.
Big win for Wigan I bet there's some squeaky bums in the north east right now! :mmm:
 
Gonna go right to the wire this I reckon. Wigans game in hand is at home to Swansea which I can see them getting at least a point from. Newcastel and Norwich are the 2 that are most at risk
 
That's it the stress has ended and we are officially safe, would rather it had been a team other than Wigan but oh we'll they won the cup.

TBH I couldn't have put it any better, wanted Villa to stay up because of the Celtic connection with Lambert and Petrov and would preffered Wigan to stay up over Sunderland despite DiCanio being One of us too all bet briefly.
 
Shame it was Wigan,have a soft spot for them a few teams above them I would rather had gone but it was not to be, Villa were not one of them by the way!! Dont think Villa will be in the same boat next season unless all the youngsters get lured away.
 
Wish it had been Sunderland and not Wigan. But now I hope Arsenal beat Newcastle just to keep Spurs out of the Champions league spots because my brother & best mate are Spurs fans and i've had to hear how they are awesome and Champions league quality and deserve to be there by right, whereas I believe you finish in the league where you deserve to be based on your play not who you are!

Mind you what would I know, relegated from the premier league last year, 5 managers this years and the chickens running my club!

Sad for all Wigan fans, but FA Cup champions and in Europa League next year, just like Spurs haha,,,

Phew.....I tweeted Paul McGrath a few weeks ago asking if he thought we would be safe before Wigan game. Glad he was spot on. Results go our way we could finish 11th...!!!
Bentake will sign a new deal now.
 
Villa will be in the exact same position next season unless significant investment is released for Lambert to start shaping his own team.

Unless he ends up at Everton!

seems like "our" Andreas Weimann will stay at Villa. btw his father sits ritght next to me in the office so i know most of the news concerning Andy first hand
 
Weimann has been fantastic for us this season. His work rate is second to none.

We are not too far off being top 10 side again IMO. We need a new LB and a striker to cover Bentake. I think we will offload Bent, Ireland, Dunne and Given this summer to free up around 200k a week from the wage bill. A few more shewed signings and we will be a different team next season. Get the crowds back into Villa Park and get it rocking.
