Surely that's never happened before. Rory's tee shot on 14 with driver went straight into a spectators pocket :D

I overheard them say in went in "on the fly"

So he can hit a guys pocket from 280 yards but not a 4 inch hole at 160!
Not so good now is he!:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

They should remake the advert where him and Tiger where hitting shots into cups and stuff when Rory first signed with Nike but Rory should finish with a driver into the guys pocket.

Glad he had a bit of luck

Cant believe players like Horschel and Mahan can win the Fedex Cup, it's an embarassment to the game

Well, Mahan is not winning anything this week... And Horschel has played great in 3 out of the 4 playoff events, what's embarrassing about that?

It strike me as odd too, that a player can have a really good few weeks in the play off rounds and win the FedEx cup ahead of someone who has won 2 majors and a bit extra too.

Rather like a 28 hcp beating a player off 5. It doesn't mean the 28 hcp is a better golfer.

You'd argue that's for the rankings and to win the playoffs just means you've won that event. A bit like bubba winning the first major didn't make him the best player at the time, just that week.

A bit like the other year when Rory actually won two of the play off events and was leading the list. They then reset the point for the last event, and because he didn't win that event, didn't win the Fedex cup. The idea is that if you have a league/ points competition, the one with the most points wins, I.e. Football, baseball, etc. but when Vijay won it a few years back with one or two events left to play, the Americans lost interest and decided that's not the way to do it. So now you have Horschel, who's not done a lot this year, play well in a couple of the last events and finds himself at the top of the Fedex pile. Hopefully Rory can push on and take it today, he's had a great season, and also played for it through the play-offs.
