If you want to practise your golf swing in your sitting room of office, don't just swing empty handed, get an un-wanted golf club and saw the top off the shaft just below the grip. Use the grip to keep your hands/grip in the right position as you are practising your body turn.
 
Or for under a tenner, buy a weighted short club with a grip trainer.
I have one in my office.
I tried swinging my broken 7 iron shaft the other day....no weight at all, almost pointless...

Have to agree with buying a weighted short club with a grip trainer.
 
or if you're really cheap, just look around your course for the discard shafts from the Donnays, Dunlops, Masters etc.

I have next to me as I write an Aldila VX shaft - a bit light as it's graphite but a visit to the church roof will solve that!
