I have been out of golf for a while and have recently stepped back in. I've had lessons on GC2 a while back, and I was impressed. But I just had my first lesson with the HMT attachment today. And I'm speechless. The numbers are crazy, there is absolutely no guess work. Identified a problem major problem, and after 30 minutes it has been fixed (touch wood).

If anyone hasn't had a go, I can't speak highly enough of it. I won't be a having a lesson without it from now on.

Quite a change.

I agree that having GC2 HMT really adds value to teaching and the student's experience.

The data provides the student with something tangible. It's one thing for a pro to suggest drills, positions and 'feels', but if the student doesn't trust the process, or understand that it is helping, they are unlikely to continue practicing the way the pro has advised.

So for you, you've been told by the pro that you are swinging 7 out-to-in. You may believe it based on a mere camera recording, but seeing the data on-screen really adds to the validity. Most importantly, when the pro gave you some tips, you got instant feedback, and proof, that he wasn't talking nonsense.

I really think this is the way forward. I've had a number of lessons in the past and whilst some have seen me hit straighter shots or connect better, there have been a few situations where I've been told, "this will feel uncomfortable until you practice this move for a while" and I struggled to trust their words.

An example- I went to Turnberry at the start of this year as I got a voucher for a round on the 9 hole and a 45 minute lesson. Out came the iPad and I hit a few 6 irons. The young pro announced, to my surprise, that I was swinging too far from the inside. I was shocked, as I always thought that I swung OTT, out-to-in. I presented to the pro with a terrible driver slice and a deadly iron pull. To me, this suggested that I wasn't swinging in-to-out at all, unless my club face at impact was mega different between irons and woods. There was no data, just a slo-mo vid of me hitting crap shots.

I never went for any other lessons this year and combined with little time for practice, my progress has stalled. Hopefully, I will get more time next year, but I will definitely be doing a lesson-by-numbers.

Approx a 7 degree out to in swing path.

Now touch wood has been neutralised to around a 1 in to out.

Be absolutely amazed if you managed to change a 7 degree out to in path to 1 degree in to out in half an hour. You may think you have until you get out on the course at which stage you will be swinging on your old path again. Takes a long while to change a path that much consistently!

The belfry have just had this and using it in conjunction with ''body track'' this also monitors where your bodyweight is distributed durring the downswing. I learnt my weight gets onto my left side waaaaaay too early. Gc2 was the dogs too

Do you really think the pro was telling you porkies????

I thought exactly the same, as if golf faults were that easy and quick to correct and embed we'd all be off scratch.

7* out to in...... Did you really need gc2 hmt to see this? Surely your ball flight and shot shape would have shown this.

Nope it didn't.

It might be because i'm dextrous and young. But my ball flight was pretty good. I managed somehow to compensate by hitting almost every drive way way out in the toe.

Literally blew my mind seeing that on HMT

7 out to in... If you have a face 7 open the ball will go straight... What needs fixing? hehe...

However, 7* out to in and getting it back to 1* in to out and get the face somewhere neutral.. Outstanding lesson!

What did he tell you, make you feel, teach you to move you 8* and coming from the inside?
