Gatwick Airport parking.

I used to do the room and 2 weeks parking at the holiday Inn at worth. Did the job but prices of those deals have rocketed. Used to be about £100

I think Missis T just had a look at that, you are cotprrect re the prices going north.

Used the valet parking in March, very good. Only downside was going out and parking at North terminal but returned to South. Was a pain on the return, not the fault of the parking company. When booking, you can also book the lounge which has food and drink included, was worth it.

We always used their Summertime Special, but that isn't running at the moment. We used their North Terminal long stay carpark (flew out from the North Terminal). It was easy enough, and very similar to the Sumertime Special, but you parked the car in a bay instead of them doing it.

Any recommendations. Me and Missis T are going from there July 6th.

A good friend of mine used to own one of their registered meet and greets but sold up during covid including the land. Once opened parking has rocketed as I found last week, used to pay £50 per week, now it’s closer to £125/150 per week.

Top tip is that Gatwick is now classed as an oyster zone station and as such is a lot cheaper to travel to compared with when it was out of zone, it’s worth checking.

It’s not just Gatwick where prices have gone bananas, Heathrow Terminal 5 £195 for 7 days from all the usual suspects, eventually paid £175 via BA - double pre pandemic.
Bristol was £140 for 6 days meet and greet, nearly triple pre pandemic, now cheaper for us to take a cab which was not even a thought 2 years ago. I can’t see that all of their costs will have gone up by this much, I assume they’re trying to recoup losses very quickly.

If you google it there is a comparison type site that lists loads. Not sure if its cheaper than booking direct but worth a quick search
What I have done is booked a spot on someone’s drive through ParkonmyDrive. There’s a couple of reasons as normally I go through meet and greet or park and ride.
Meet and greet at Manchester. I was waiting 30 minutes for someone to come. When we returned 35 minutes.
Again park and ride, Manchester, car parked under a tree and 2 weeks of goose crap on the car.
I will keep folk informed of how it turns out.
Oh sorry it was £80 for 15 days, 5 mins from airport.
