Garmin Watches >> S6 vs S5

I lost my G6 last week, which I'm hopping mad about, but had been thinking about a watch for a while anyway.

The Garmins above are the only ones that will let me do layups (which I use(d) a lot on my g6) and are pretty close to my G6 but there seems to be a bit of noise about the g6 not being comp legal.

Is this relevant for club comps? There's no way I'd use the training stuff in round but the tempo thing could be useful @ range (plus the s6 looks better).

i basically fancy the s6 but don't want to shell if I can't use in a comp, what's the point?

Any input on the questions above appreciated.

Interesting. So can you figure how far to lay up to a bunker / hazard say on a par 5?

No only basic layups like 100 150 and so on to the green you can set markers as your playing for the next time you play
