i have one. its the dogs. a bit tricky to get used to but the lay up distance, saved locations and score card features are great. the s1 is good too but they gave known problems with misting up and its a bugger to charge (i took my one back for the s3)

Got one for Christmas off Mrs JBS used it twice, very easy to use. Touch screen very easy.
Looking forward to using it in Portugal next week and having my distances in yards and not having to convert metres to yards.

I changed my S1 for an S3 because of the misting up ( Garmin replaced it no problem.) The S3 is a lot more refined and easier to charge the scorecard is great too. Much better but nearly twice the price.

I can't believe I went this long without one. Got it at Christmas, it really is fantastic, trust me you won't regret it. And even if for some some strange reason you don't they hold excellent resale value on fleabay.
I had the S3 and swapped it back for the S1 as F/M/B is all I need, I use my other senses for the rest
Charging is really easy on the s1- an unusual method but as long as you ensure it 'clicks' in then no issues.

Great bit of kit and best feature is the abiity to add your own hazards ( 5 per hole )

s3 has lots more features above the s1. the s1 is front, middle and back of green and has a measure shot feature. the s3 has:
scorecard
saved locations
lay up distances
you can view the green and change pin locations
doesnt mist up
and easy to charge.
the score card being the best feature. well worth the extra IMO

Does the S3 have a touch screen? Will it work if you are wearing gloves? I can't use my phone screen in winter without taking my glove off.

It does have a touchscreen, yes and mine works perfectly fine with a golf glove on.

I wear two gloves in the winter.Why don't you hold it in your hand with the glove and use the non-gloved hand?
