Absolutely. Love mine and feel so much more confident when wearing it.

Much prefer it to lasers and handhelds I've tried. So much quicker and gives me exactly what I need, no fuss.

i had the s1. it was fantasic and soooooo convenient to use. as daveboy said can you stretch to the s3? i sent my s1 back due to common misting screen problems and its a pain the ass the charge. the s3 has none of these issues and the score card feature is brilliant. no more trips to argos for pencils!

I have a Garmin Prologic, which is fine and does the job it is meant to do really well. I joined a new course and the first few times I played it, the Garmin came in really handy. I used it for just about every shot. Now, I know all my distances from landmarks and I only use it to check distance for shots to the green or if I get really badly out of position into an area I havent been before.

To sum up, great for a new course or one you dont play very often, but play the same course week in week out and my guess is that you will know which club to take from just about anywhere on the course within around 8-10 rounds.

Its not a bad gadget. I am not saying that, I am just saying, in another 5 or 6 rounds, will I even bother to switch it on or will I really need it ? If you play lots of different courses or your just one of those guys who can hit a 5 iron to exactly 169 yards almost every time. then yes, a really useful tool IMO.

I love mine never had any misting problems.I like the fact it's not complicated.I just want to see the yardage then concentrate on my shot. The others have two many other features to get bogged down in on the course for me

+1 to this, had the S3 and reverted back to the s1 as its only the F/M/B yardage I need or want

i do agree with the s3 being more complicated but its no different from getting a new smart phone and taking a while to get used to all the new features. the saved locations you can program into the s3 is great. they're always moving the tee's at the belfry so its always good to know how far to your lay ups and hazzards ect. IMO this and the score card feature make it better than the s1 by a mile. but like i said it takes some getting used to

Sounds a pretty good deal to me - they go for almost that on eBay with what I would expect to be a difficult warranty claim if something went wrong.

I'm tempted.

I am, however, still keen on the MotoACTV due the additional golf related functionality and the fact I can use it for walking and cycling... but I can't find it anwhere.

bought one 2 weeks ago and used it in Portugal last weekend as I wasn't fussed about taking my laser - thought it was great, simple to use and no different to my normal watch, so no interference in the swing. Just make sure to keep it charged, nothing worse than it running out after 17 holes of the Victoria course!!
