Hi,
I have just updated my S1. There were 2 downloads, one was a s/w update the other was:
''Lite courses, on various continents''.
One of the areas was Africa/Kenya, where I sometimes play and I take it they were downloaded.
I have asked Garmin before if I can pay and download courses in Kenya, but was told I could not.
Does anyone know how I can find out what courses are stored on my S1, and what exactly ''Lite'' means.
Usually it means unusable!!! LOL
thanks

I just looked on their web site and it had the full list. That was 6 months ago

Hi,
Thanks for the reply.
I also looked at the list.
My question was about how one can see what is on the watch, and what are the ''lite courses'', and what does it mean, as I cannot find any info on Garmin's site.
cheers

Does the Garmin have a loading software ? A home page or application that opens up when you plug in the watch ?

Hi,
Yes, if you pull the usb out of the charging plug and plug it into your computer, then the relevant Garmin interface should boot up. You then can download the updates.
If you have already registered your device with Garmin then you can go to their website and log in and download updates.

Can the s1 have courses in foreign countries then? I'm off to dubai and was thinking of buying a laser as I thought the s1 wouldn't have the courses available

Hi,
I am not sure, but if you updated your S1 recently, then you will see that there is a s/w update and a course update. The course update is called a'' lite course update'' and seems to cover all the world, but I am not sure what that means.
cheers
