Garmin kit

Update:
Having had a twenty minute wait to get through to Garmin and then a fairly disinterested conversation with them I decided to approach the retailer, Amazon, rather than the manufacturer.
My 1st email got the response "Ask Garmin to do an out of warranty repair" which means they didn't really pay my Email much attention.
I replied "I've already stated Ive done that. I consider £65 plus postage to repair a £116 item unreasonable. Amazon were the retailer and I consider the £160 (original price) item to be not fit for purpose."
2nd Email from Amazon requested I return it for a full refund, pay the postage and they will include that in the refund, followed by a request to rate their response and service.
This happened within just a few hours.
I've just ordered the G3 from them.
