Game Golf Monthly Challenge

Following from Paul's Christmas Par comp that barring and miracles today looks like Sam will win with a great round incl 15 pars or better, would folks be interested in a monthly GG comp? 30 day bragging rights to the winner as a top prize?

Perhaps for Jan to get us going I suggest highest FiR stats as all hcps can hit the fairway and a bit of focused improvement in this aspect will not harm anyone's game!

Feb could be putt/hole; Mar GIR and so on. If there is the appetite I'll dream up some monthly themes or suggestions below perhaps and we'll come up with a programme.

Also, thoughts on how to normalise results as GG will report assuming we're all scratch players so it would be good to take account of Hcp on as many of the challenges as possible.

I don't get mine til 11th Jan, but would definitely be up for a monthly challenge, adds a bit more focus to the round, which can't be a bad thing.

Count me in, as it's fun I suggest we/you keep it simple to begin with, ie straightforward FIR,
To start bringing handicaps etc may become tricky, but more than happy to support any decision you make.

Sorry about the 15pars. I was literally loadin the round up as I got invited was pretty confident I'd effectively end the contest too!

I really enjoy the gamegolf app. Would be good if you could just join a group on their saves having to follow everyone!

OK folks,

I've set up a GiR challenge for Jan while I get used to use challenge set-up etc as it was easy to do (I'll get in touch with GG re some wider options for challenges as it looked like there were only 6 or so on the drop down (as viewed from tablet) so hopefully will also be able to broaden options through year)

Mike - I badged as GM Forum Users Challenge to avoid implying GM endorsement / sponsorship but trying to be clear it is 'us lot' - hope this is ok!

If anyone has not recieved an invite to participate post here and I'll sort asap.

I've joined the challenge, but not got GameGolf yet. Hopefully have it next week, but we'll see. Gotta see if my pro can get one in at a decent price for me!

Got to use this for the first time today. Absolutely insane wind conditions but managed to play ok despite that. Found the system pretty simple to use and only needed to edit a couple of things after the round.
