Looking to get a GG goretex jacket and was trying to sort out the sizing, do they come up normal/big or small, the guides online I have found indicate they may come up on the smaller size, can any owners confirm please?

I bought mine from here: http://www.snaintongolf.co.uk/contact?jssCart=b0b59ecbedcafe8207da8e7e50059b51

Click on the link and get the number and ring them. When I ordered mine on-line, they rang me to ask if I really wanted this size, as they said the sizes were slightly different. After speaking to the guy who was very knowledgable I changed my size (Trousers) No need to buy from them, just check the sizes with them

thanks doc, was looking to buy from them and have emailed them already, just thought Id ask the knowledgeable folk on here too to confirm what they say :)

I bought a jacket last year, xl as the large was too short on the arms. I'm 6'3 at 14st I'm normally a large or extra large so didn't find them that small.

I bought one in December, I'm 6'2" with long arms, but slim built, the large fits me fine.

Have to say that I'm extremely disappointed with mine.....
I've only worn it in th erain twice, and wore it for 9 holes on Sunday when it was absolutely chucking it down. Didn't think anything until I went to take it off, when I had a strange smell emanating from me, realized it was my merino wool Seve tribute jumper smelling because it was soaked through. The GG top was wetter inside than it was outside, not from perspiration, but from the rain, I may just as well have been wearing it inside out......

I was a sodden wreck. Fortunately, the shop where I purchased it from was still open so I drove straight over there whilst the jacket was in the condition it was in. Suffice to say they were as gobsmacked as I was. They have sent the jacket back to GG, obviously it has a lifetime waterproof guarantee, unfortunately, I don't think this one was ever waterproofed.....

Sounds like my goretex lined ECCO shoes which were as waterproof as a paper towel.

I seem to have issues with Gore-tex fabrics. I have never had a gore-tex jacket or trousers for that matter which have kept me dry. Every single one has leaked, very bady in GG's case.

I now use a cross pro pullover and rave about it. Bloody fantastic gear. I added to that a pair of Under Armour cold gear waterproof trousers which so far have also been excellent.

Have to be honest and say Proquip have never let me down and you can get a whole suit for the price of a set of GG bottoms. If proquip is good enough to the RC team (and the US) then fine by me too

Spoke to Direct Golf yesterday, where I purchased it from. Galvin Green must see the faulty item before replacing/ repairing etc. Jacket has to be sent back to DG's head office, where it is then returned to Galvin Green...........in Sweden.

I hope it doesn't rain whilst I'm playing golf over the next month.......
