Galvin Green Buzz

I haven't got the Buzz but recently purchased the Ashford jacket. It is the best golf top I've bought by miles. It's very soft and light so doesn't restrict your swing at all.

It is totally waterproof too. I went out to practice in the pouring rain just after I got it to test out its waterproof capabilities!

I then bought the Daniel Insula top to go underneath it and that is top notch too.

I'd always looked at their stuff and thought who buys this stuff as its so expensive. Having bought some bits now, I can see as it will last a long time.

I'm hoping that Santa brings me the waterproof trousers to match now!

i for one don't understand how people can justify spending that much on golf gear that will spend 90% of its time in the bag! Can understand spending a wee bit more on windproofs, just not the waterproof stuff.

Don't get me wrong, i love technical outdoor clothing and i've spent a fair bit on my skiing gear, but then when i'm skiing, i'll more than likely use the expensive jacket and bottoms for 95-100% of the time.

So using that logic....if I shoot on h.cap round my place with a 74 I will have hit my driver less than 10% of the shots (7 holes), thus spending over 90% of the round in my bag along with my waterproofs.

I'm off to pick up a Donnay Rocket Launcher for £15 from Sports Direct tomorrow :D :D :D

lol... very good. I don't know about you though, but i use my driver on every round of golf i play. Thinking back over the last year of golf, it's only been necessary to wear waterproofs about 5 or 6 times. Maybe i've just been lucky with the weather!

And i bet you could hit the rocket launcher just as far as whatever it is you use ;)

I don't really keep my waterproofs in my bag.

As soon as it starts to get a bit wet, I generally play in waterproof trousers to stop my normal trousers getting soaked.

The Galvin Green waterproof jacket combined with their insula jacket is really good in the wind too. It's so easy to swing in that I wear it all the time. Getting my money's worth.

I probably sound pretty evangelical about it but I am massively impressed with the quality of the kit.

My GG paclite waterproof trousers go on every time I play during the winter to stopp getting mud all over the inside of my trouser leg at the bottom. Also means I can wipe the crap off the face of my wedges after a practice swing.

Nearly always got my GG paclite short sleeve rain top on during the winter, great as a little wind stopper. The GG jacket only goes on if it's slashing it down.

I've already got the value out of them because they do keep you 100% dry, no need to come in like a drowned rat and have to drive home in soaking wet gear.

Got the GG Ashford jacket and Alf trousers. They really are superb and very versatile. I wear the top as a wind cheater in winter and also when out and about as it keeps you bone dry. The trousers keep the mud off your playing trousers. Money well spent in my opinion.
