Has anyone on the forum gone from a G20 driver to a G25?
Was there any noticeable difference or feel?
Had a lesson the other day and pros put me back on track and hitting it well but was thinking of maybe getting a new driver as I've had my G20 since it first came out!

I have hit them both and currently own an Anser driver. The G25 is miles better than the G20. Ping have cracked it with the 25 it is a superb driver and so easy to hit. Try one I think you will notice the difference.

It came out in 2011, if your pro has fixed your swing to be able to hit it, you don't need a G25, it is the swing that counts, not the club

If you can hit it and it doesn't break, it will last years, there is very little they can do anymore to make them any better IMHO.

Plenty they can do to change it and the benefit of the G25 is that it's adjustable - which you should basically set and forget!

But if you like the current one, there's a lot of cost for very little Benefit in upgrading imo.

It used to be that 'life expectancy' of a Driver was about 3 years, but since all the limits have been placed on Drivers, I'd say that's almost doubled! And it's not worn out after that time, so still probably no need to change, unless your swing changes drastically.

My Driver is over 10 years old and still gets it out there really well!

I have just gone the other way, have a G20 and bought a second hand i15 which i do like
The g20 has the slightly closed face at address and could exaggerate my draw too much, only complaint with the i15 is the sound off the club face as a bit dull but will get used to it

I love my G25. Very forgiving and I like the fact that you can play around with loft, albeit not hugely. I don't think there is much more Ping can do now other than something way more adjustable like the TM SLDR or the Cally Big Bertha Alpha and I'm not sure that's really something they are comfy doing. My advice would be go for the G25 and it will last for many a good season

I have a G20. I tried the G25 but didn't hit it as well. I think I am in a minority as the G25 is generally well thought of. It makes me think that the best idea would be to try one and if it gives you a decent advantage that is worth the financial outlay to you then go for it. If not, stick with the G20. You already have a good driver, so you are in the driving seat (pardon the pun).

Currently using the G15 driver, but fancy the G25, there would need to be a substantial difference for me to splash the cash, but I do need a new 5 wood so maybe concentrate on that.
