Was hitting balls tonight and my R11 5 iron is making a very tinny sound. The plastic ferrule is loose enough to turn around by hand but the shaft itself doesn't feel loose. The strange thing is the tinny noise gets more pronounced towards the toe. It is there off the sweetspot (yes I did find it) but the pitch gets higher just off centre towards the toe and more as you go out. The performance didn't seem to be down and I was hitting it ok and getting my normal distance. I can't beleive the loose ferrule would cause the noise and can't see anything else that would make the sound. Even if you hit a little chip and run type shot it is thee. Very strange.

Looked at the R11 decal and the red weight prt but they all seem fine. They are only 6 months old so well within warranty so I'll take it back to the pro shop on Friday and see what he says. I'm sure they must be covered under warranty and they have only had normal wear and tear and have been cleaned and well looked after.

I had something similar with a driver once - turned out to be a small "blob" of dried glue that had become detached from the end of the shaft where it was glued into the head.
