Recently I've been having trouble off the tee but I've been managing to score well because my irons, chipping and putting has been pretty good.
I had a lesson from the pro a couple of weeks back and he's changed a few things with my driver setup and swing and it's started to bed in nicely now.
So what happened today ?
Hit 74% of fairways, the ones I missed were all just in the first cut. All Either dead straight or with a slight draw. Long as well, I hit three 300+ yard drives. Usually lucky if I hit one in 10 rounds.
It all just felt effortless.
Hit 44% GIR, due to being in the fairway far more often.
Chipped pretty well.
But for some reason, my putting went completely south.
Shot 85 in the end which I'm pretty happy with. But had four 3 putts and a 4 putt And missed countless easy birdy and par putts.
So a little frustrated but a good step in the right direction. Feels like I'm getting close to hooking it all up.
