a while a go a mate of mine had a titleist headcover that covered the whole shaft. Now tbh i see the advantage of these and i want on (not titleist) but i cnt find them anywhere!?

when i googled "full shaft length head covers" i stopped at "full shaft length" and thought that maybe the results i get back mite not be golf related!

cnt find any on ebay either!

So does the headcover cover the whole shaft all the way down to the grip? as i've never seen anything like that before to be honest.

Yeah i can imagine it looking abit strange, personally can't see why you need to cover all the shaft, only the actuall head of the club and down to just below where the shaft goes into the bag needs protecting i reckon.

But each to their own :)

I know bags are different, but in mine I don't think a full length cover would stay put as it went back in the bag.

As soon as it touched another club it would ride up wouldn't it?

I remember a friend of mine having one of these, but I couldn't remember if it was Titleist or Taylor Made. It was just like a normal headcover, but had an elasticated strap that you pulled down and over the end of the grip rather like a pair of braces. It always looked lika a bit of a faff every time he had to take it off and put on again. Perhaps the fact that they are no longer available shows how practical they were.

I've just googled "full shaft protector" to be honest you were right not to do it. Found some usefull stuff though...just none for golf. :D
