anyone played any and are they any good. Missis T just booked a week in March. probably only play one course and borrow clubs out there.

Cheers everyone.

My mates parents owns a place near the course about 20min from the airport. I never played it when I went but it looks fairly tight and in superb condition. There's a free bus from town up to the course every 20 min from what I can remember.

Fuerteventura Golf Course is well worth a visit but wasn't taken with Salinas (bit tight, switch backs and with lava rock all over the place!) - don't know about any others.

Those are the two courses I've played over there.

I agree about Salinas - basically anywhere that isn't fairway is lava clinker. Although the club states that you should play the ball as it lies, since it was just holiday golf my wife & I agreed that we'd take a free drop from it for the sake of our clubs. Wouldn't bother to play it if I ever went back to the island.

Fuerteventura is much nicer, but those great big drainage channels were just ball magnets for me.

Worth checking back on last months magazine - there was a piece on the Canary islands - including Fuertaventura - and if I recall, there was something about a new course there now?

Ditto and ditto! Had to buy some balls from the shady chap selling them at the edge of the course and took a walk most mornings around the perimeter ball scavanging!
