Ok people my credit card is almost empty and i have seriously become addicted to golf. Playing four times a week and i have blurted out bastards a few times at work when i have checked my rotas to find myself working during the day and not playing golf.
I have got to grips with my woods in the last few weeks and i am now consistently hitting botht the driver and 3 wood well. Actually the driver is a lot better than the 3W, reasonable straight and distances differing between 220 and 270 ( have reached 290 twice this week but that is a down hill hole and 10yards of that was the green) depending on conditions. I have been considering a Callaway FT-I for a while and have seen the special edition for £250 which is less than the standard. Anyone got any experience of switching between these two drivers.
My other interest is to change my cheap hippo houdini 3 wood or hybrid for a Callaway FT_I or Callaway hybrid. Any suggestions. I hit both Hippo's ok usually 180 each and with a fade although the Hybrid can go for a draw if it fancies. I want something of better quality and hopefully more forgiving. I live in Ashford kent so could visit American golf maidstone or Nevada Bobs Canterbury for a play but would like to go with choice in mind as i don't wish to be swayed by their own business needs. For example i have heard American golf tend to push Nicklaus golf equipment.
