From where should the next shot be played - mixed foresomes tee air-shot

Situation arose this evening. A mixed foresomes side, lady went to tee off and had an air-shot.

Where does partner play from? Teed ball on ladies tee was what we went with but never seen this before.

You were correct. A stroke has been made by the lady which means the ball is in play, and so her partner plays the next stroke from where the ball has come to rest - or in this case from where the ball has never moved.

this has a slightly concerning implication that the ball was moved/re-teed which would be a penalty. As Colin posted you play the ball as it currently lies; which in this case means the tee it's still sitting on!

btw in the same vein, if the gent drives OOB then the lady would be playing 3 from the men's tee

We have an interclub mixed foursomes comp around Manchester, it can be a bit daunting playing 3 from the Whites on some holes!

We usually play mixed foursomes with the men playing the odd numbered holes.
Our 13th is a long par 5 with OOB all down right hand side.

I have played 3 off the white tees on several occasions! I consider it an achievement to reach the fairway from the whites

Mixed events should never involve the white tees. All players should be able to reach the fairway.
There is no provision in the current handicap and rating system for an appropriate adjustment to compensate for the disadvantage to a pair where the lady cannot play the course.
