Hi,i am going to france next week for 3 days golf.We are playing Le Touquet,Hardelot, and Belle Dune.I just wondered if any one had played these courses. Many Thanks.
LOL COSWORTH.Its a cheap 3 days away, £225 per person, il let you know how i get on and il take some pics of the courses.Im gonna take a few cheaper golf balls just in case there is plenty of trouble.I have been told the courses are very good so am looking forward to it.
I went to Le Touquet in September and played Le Foret and another (name escapes me). All on same complex. Le Foret as the name suggests is set in a Forest and was very tight in places, but was very enjoyable but you had to hit it straight. Even for a mid handicapper like myself (now off 12.4)the courses were very playable. Both courses were in mint condition, fairways like carpets and very receptive although lightning quick greens.
Hi
We played all of these courses last year on a Golfbreaks deal.
Of all of them we liked Hardelot (Les Pins) best - undulating parkland - whereas we didn't get on with Belle Dune - sand and gorse with some tricky tees for the men.
Le Touquet (2 courses) I think was okay, though on all of them we were disappointed at the lack of catering available. Playing in august mid-morning we rarely had the offer of a meal when we returned from our efforts on the course.
We went there for a holiday with golf thrown in. it may be you have different priorities - and play better golf! Hope you enjoy it anyway. I expect courses wil be quieter in the autumn and it's certainly an easy journey from ferry ports.
This year we went to Belgium. Longer drive but the courses were excellent - and quiet- check out my blog if you're interested.
Have a good time in France!

hi ali,im going on a golfbreaks holiday too.we have a package including hotel and the 3 rounds.Actualy staying in le touquet itself.going over on euro tunnel.Il let you know how it goes.Im just going look at the blog now.
I've played Le Touqet and Hardelot Le Pins and Le Foret, they are all great courses and as everybody has said very playable. But.....
If you've got the time take a trip further inland to Les Bordes which is just south of Paris near Orleans. This place is simply awesome. It was commisioned my Baron Bic who is the guy who made Billions from Bic Pens and Razors. Apparantly we hit his 80's and was made on water skiing of all things and his doctor said "for god's sake, give up the danger sports"
He basically gave a blank cheque to Pete Dye and said, build me the best course in the world. For me it can't be far off. From memory there is water on 15 of the 18 holes with 4 island greens. 3 with water and 1 with sand.
When I went (some 10 years ago) they only had 2 members. Baron Bic and his best buddy. They also were so fed up with people complaining about losing golf balls they did a deal with Wilson and you could buy a dozen balls for about a fiver. Remember though this was a LONG time ago!!
If anybody else has had the pleasure I'd love to hear your stories!
