no it's iOS only I'm afraid

Android may boast more devices but iOS delivers far more downloads for us and I woukld be confident every other media brand/app developer.

I'm afraid we have to put our resources where the demand is. Hopefully in time we'll release android versions of these products but for the forseeable future its iOS only

Bit chicken and egg don't you think??

If you put it on Android, then I'm pretty sure it would gain more downloads

logic would suggest that, but the reality is different...

we put all three of our free tips apps - short game, winter and irons - on both iOS and android the downloads were over 80% iOS and I have to say the iOS/Android split is similar for every app and tablet versions of a magazine that we produce at IPC Media (our parent company)

we do of course have tablet versions of the mag available on all platforms http://www.golf-monthly.co.uk/courses/tophundred/530978/golf-monthly-digital-editions.html but again the split of standard GM tablet editions is skewed heavily towards iOS

so, when it comes to making enhanced versions of the digital edition or distributing sample content like this which costs us extra money to produce and distribute then we have to go with the market is and that's iOS

I'd love to know why android users arent as active as iOS users when it comes to downloading thre type of content we produce

any insight much appreciated

Maybe it's a fault on my part, but I didn't even know you did any android bases "apps" for any of your content. I know about the mag subscription as I recently looked into subscribing.

I'll set up a vote in out of bounds and see what comes of it.

I was interested to see this - I'm a sports photographer (mainly professional football) and looking at the analytics for my website pretty much reflects percentage wise what Mike says about GM's app downloads - well over 80% of mobile visitors to my site are on iOS devices - and when it comes to tablets iPads make up over 95% of visitors.

It would be good to see a mobile version of the forums, its pretty unusable from a smart phone. If you want to see how it should be done then take a look at WRX, it may be full of pretentious clap trap but it knows how to deliver content.

we are moving to a mobile friendly version of the forum but will be a few months down the line - to see how it'll look have a gander at woman and home http://www.womanandhome.com/forums/forum.php
