Hi new to this forum and have Recently just joined Woldingham so a fairly open course but on Monday i had a freak round and managed to shoot a round of two under par for a 69.

I usually score between 81-85 but was just one of those days where everything went in and even holed 4 putts from 15 foot plus.

To put into context before Monday i had only ever shot three rounds in the 70's and they were 75, 78 & 79.

I said to my Dad afterwards that i have more chance of a hole in one than doing that again.

Anybody else recently experienced a round out of the ordinary?

Also had a weird round at Surrey National last week, playing awful and 13 over after 7 before doing the next 10 in 1 over before double bogeying the 18th for a round of 16 over.

Wow, good scoring... that's quite an improvement on your personnel best! My "out of the ordinary" rounds seem to be the odd exceptionally high one! come to think of it they aren't so out of the ordinary actually! Would love to get one on the low side but maybe then I"d be subconsciously expecting it very time...

I have only ever shot under 90 twice in my life (last summer) and one of them was a mind boggling 82 including 5 pars in a row!!!! Obviously only in a friendly but it was a wow.. I still look at the score card on golfshot to remind me that I actually did it...

Started this season with a couple of mid 90,s but I know with practice and patience I can, and will, regularly break 90...

its a funny game, we are all capable of paring on even birdieing most holes on our home course, its the consistency that makes the difference.

Well i think i was right and it really was a freak round because my scores since have been 86, 87, 93, 83, 92, 90, 86, 87, 88, 87, 83, 84, 86, 87, 90 and 82.

However thanfully I am playing fairly well at the moment and my 82 today included one triple and two double bogeys so that was seven of the 11 dropped shots on just three holes. About time i got my official handicap sorted.

I usually shoot low to mid 70s at my local Muni but last Summer I was sitting watching the final day of the Open and got bored and went out and played instead... must have been inspired somehow en route to a 64 :)

Wow, that's a lot of golf since Monday, especially in this weather!

I guess you were thinking of a Monday some weeks ago?
