Afternoon Chaps

Had an interesting day with my Little Chubby Bro today.

For some as yet, unknown reason, The Dickhead who holds the position of "Club Pro" at our place, decided to book a mass playing lesson consisting of 9 senior ladies in 3 groups of 3, teeing off at 9am on the first tee.

The Pro spent 3 holes with each party before dropping back to the next one.

Jesus H Christ were they slow, and would they let anyone through. At one point on the 3rd par 5 there were 4 groups on the hole, We literally had to wait on every shot.

I have no problems with playing lessons, But dont book them at peak times, and please let other groups through who are faster, Why couldnt he have started from the 10th, which was empty

Took us over 2 hours for the front 9 scores 19 points each. The ladies went in after 9 and so we had the course to ourselves for the back 9.

Anyway to cut a long story short, we both posted 18 points for the back so tied on 37 points each, I had 88 gross which is my bestest ever score and if I can repeat that on Wednesday's Medal I can expect a chunky cut.

Both played some good golf and apart from the delay had a great morning

During the week the course is usually busy until about 11, then almost nothing happens. They know this and 11 would have been a perfect time for them.
It's the sort of stupidity that loses a club some members when the only member we need to lose is the idiot called The Pro. At one point, with a group directly behind and us on the tee of a par 4: he made one of the Ladies - who were extremely apologetic it has to be said - walk back 50 yards for some reason, maybe she hadn't paced the yardage....

We made it pretty obvious that we were not impressed and someone in the group behind us rang the shop and complained but when we went in there was no hint of an apology or explaination...

Anyway, some decent golf was played....

Doesn't it occur to you that you should always play slow or consider having a sex change and join the ladies section, as it contibuted to your best score

Well played Fragger but I'm confused. Your place is a Par 71 unless I'm mistaken. You play off 23 according to your sig. So 88 gross is 6 under your h'cap so how come that only gets you 37 pts

Par is 70 Mike, SSS is 69.
And if I remember he had a couple of highish numbers in there. A few 1's and a 4 for 4 birdie.
