Just spent the last five minutes trying to get a baby fox out of the house. Must have left the back door open, and it had made its way through the kitchen and into the dining room. Not sure how long it had been there, but it had no sense of direction, and kept charging our piano. Fortunately no mess, and it finally shot through the kitchen, skidding on our new floor. and out the door.

Hate to think what would have happened if the cat had found it, but he was watching the golf on the sofa.;)

Back door firmly shut in the evenings from now on.

Had an adult come in a few years ago, help itself to a golf shoe that was drying out and casually trot off. Mrs. BiM says she's never seen me move so fast, but it did persuade the fox to drop the shoe and clear off at a rate of knots.

Must have been a huge strong fox to carry one of your golf shoes.:D

we have a few that come into the garden at night, spotted 2 sitting at the bottom of the garden chewing something one night, bold as brass, security lights were on and they didnt care. Giving them a major scare is the only way I can think of a deterent so I opened the door slowly then ran full tilt at them shouting like William Wallace in full battle charge...

One leapt a 6 foot fence and the other one panicked and ran all round the garden before squeezing through a tiny gap in the wrought iron gate:eek:

I then noticed (as my wife shockingly told me) it was effing 2am and the neighbours are probably calling the police as we speak to get the madman running about the back gardens.

I just throw stones at them now

Call it a conspiracy theory, but, do you think it had been sent in by the neighbours to wreck the piano after hearing you play songs from your era - Charlston dance music!!

Will be a real pest if they get that close. No hen keepers nearby? Any kids with small pets will soon be without.
