I've got a foursomes match on Sunday. The tee time has changed due to an admin error at the club - the new tee time means I'll be tight for time as I've got wedding appointments booked from 2pm which can't be changed.

Is it allowed for me to leave if the game isn't complete? Say on the final hole or two?

I'm pretty certain I know the answer, but I'd thought I'd ask...

You could in 4BBB, but not in foursomes due to the alternate shot format. Unless of course you have already won or lost the match before it's time to leave!

foursomes is alternate shot, how can you leave early?

That was my thoughts, I was 99% sure I couldn't... but I lived in hope that by suddenly getting a cold that was so severe it affected my eyesight I may have been able to sneak off early ;)

I just thought I'd double check. You never know what odd rulings there are in this game, as I've seen on here plenty of times!

Did you contact the club as they made an error they should try fix something for you

I know i wouldn't accept it anyhow if id made plans and they changed it ,

It depends on your comp rules but it may be an option for your pp to play as a single full stop. Our winter league is foursomes and a single can play with a 4 shot penaly. (Half combined hcp of pair compared to single hcp and then further four shots penaly to single). Seems to result in some competative games so is probably about right.
