Inbee Park has started where she finished off in hre last Major. Currrently four under through her first six holes of the Open. Dont want to jinx her but looks a good bet to complete the 'Grand Slam of Golf' with all four Majors back to back. An incredible talent and I for one hope she gets this victory, absolutely incredible. I'll be watching all four days of it here in Thailand (perfect time for me here) Go get-em Inbee!

It would be quite an achievement and absolutely nothing to suggest she won't do it.

I'm planning to go up on Sunday (weather permitting) so hope it isn't all but over by then! Some good looking scores already; not a breath of wind here in Edinburgh so presumably quite benign up at St Andrews.

Nice to see Karen Stupples making a good start too!

The girls have 5 majors, I think this would be the 4th of a possible 5 this year

Her swing looks proper ropey though. She's looking away from the ball from about half way through her down swing. I can only guess that whichcraft is keeping the ball straight.

Is it the Evian that has been added as the fifth? Still an unbelievable acheivement! Oh, and shes -5 through 8!

Darlophil, its not how, its how many ;)

Thats very true Mark. However if I try that I know that the ball will end up going 100yards forward and 300 yards to the right. I guess thats what separates a pro from a bogey golfer.

Exactly the same as another legend of the womens game who did that very same thing and said it improved her ball striking when she started doing it in practice so kept it in the swing for all play. That would be the lovely Annika Sorenstam.

Would love to see Inbee make it 5-0 for the season in the majors a reall massive feat. Interesting watching the last major they said that after her breakthrough as a youngster she followed the mould of getting fit, dropping some weight and working hard at her game, but according to the commentators her game suffered and apparentely if i'm remembering the commentary right they said her swing coach told her parents she needs to go back to her normal slightly bigger weight and play naturaly with less practice.

If i've remembered that right and its true it would go to show it isn't all about athletecism and that her natural talent is what does it for her and not practice hours! Just makes me more jealous!...

Have to admit I do enjoy watching these events and got it on record so with HID going out this evening i'll be putting my feet up and catching up with it.

I posted about her after watching the Kraft Nabisco. She is amazing, hits everything dead straight 250 yards and she is a brilliant putter. If I saw her swing without knowing who she was, I'd guess she was off 30. Her finishing position is good but that's about it, but I guess it just proves the theory that there is no single perfect golf swing. Square at impact. That's all there is to it.

Dropped a shot. Bloody no chance with that swing! ;)

Her putting is staggering, never looks like shes going to miss!

Any idea why some player's names are asterisked (not Asterixed as he was a small viking) Charley Hull for example, my only guess is because they're teenagers?

Just as an aside observation, what are the player pics all about on the LPGA site? On the Euro tour and PGA site, player profiles are mostly the players in action.

On the LPGA site, they're all like glamour or makeover shots. Anyways, 'mon Suzann Pettersen. :D
