Cat got injured yesterday morning, initial thoughts were that it had been hit by a car, but it's now possible that some cruel bastid kicked him in the head.
Broken jaw and he's lost a few teeth.
Just been down the vets to see how he is, and had to shell out £476.00!!!!
That's a new R11 driver and a decent amount of balls that is!
:(

But you won't be trading the cat on Fleabay in 3 months time for £100!

As a cat lover, i hope that it pulls through ok - lets not even mention the moron who might have done it

I hate cats but I'd never hurt one, only a scumbag would hurt poor defenceless animals.

I guess it's no surprise that I love cats. Hope yours pulls through. I'd hate any thing to happen to mine. My previous one got run over. Two weeks after I had spent £800 on vet bills. I guess it was just bad luck.

Mate of men's cat had the full Barry sheene, cost £5000. Silly money.

My cat got attacked by a dog, ended up losing a leg and I had to shell out £1500. 5 years later he is still going strong (well 3/4 of him is).

how sure was the vet that it could of been someone kicking the cat?

if thats the case that is bang out of order......maybe find the person and kick them in the face, see how they like it.

We have got a neighbours cat that has adopted us. Jumps up at the door handle and lets himself in. Unfortunately he doesn't close the door so the house gets a bit chilly before we realise.:( When he needed to go to the vet we took him back home and let his owner foot the bill.;)

Sorry to hear about your cat Rob.

my cat disappeared for a few days before christmas thought she was a goner. found her with an eye hanging out dunno what happened vet said car i think shes been fighting. it adopted me from a neighbour too lol. got it removed and patched up for £120 its crazier now than it ever was. i personally think any one who is cruel to animals should be locked in a cage with big one, prefferably a horny gorilla. some of the things you see in the papers and news about absolutely sickens me.

One of ours got run over a few years back.
The Vet wired her leg up to try to get it to heal. Had to keep her in a cage for 6 weeks until they took the scaffolding off and decided that the leg had to go. Cost best part of a grand...
Tripod - for that is what she became known as - hopped around for a couple of years until she went missing.
Turns out she shacked up with some old Girl across the estate....
By the time we'd found out the Old Girl had moved to the Coast.

So we forked out for all that and the ungrateful sod left home!

Other Mog has a dodgy ticker, high blood pressure, dodgy thyroid, she's deaf and blind....

Not much of a Mog really....

Sorry to hear about your cat and hope that retribution will be slow and painful if it turns out to be cruelty and you can find the scum. Hope the cats alright. Just bump the price up on a few old bangers

Colin (the cat!) comes home tonight, picking him up after work. He looks a right mess. Got to get him special food because he won't be able to chew properly for a while, and Sam is taking the day off tomorrow to look after him properly. We did have insurance up until about a year ago when we realised we had forgotten to get his inoculations done on time and the insurance company wouldn't have paid out on that basis.
Looking forward to getting him home, and whilst I am shocked at the amount of money it has cost us, obviously that is secondary to making sure he is OK. He's one of the family now, a right character. If I do find out he has definitely been kicked, and ever find out who did it, God help them.
The injuries he has suffered are too localised to have been a car accident. There's not a mark anywhere else on his body, and his x-rays have all come back ok.

Hope Colin recovers quickly and you find the toerag involved.
Vets bills are extortionate, but where do you draw the line.

Change of subject , Colin for a cats name?
Anyone got a dog called Kevin or Raymond or a fish called Wanda

Aren't cats supposed to be called cat type names like fluffy or felix

Does anyone else have pets with human names
I have 2 cats Jack & Candy so guilty,

Fragger

We had another one named "Brian" but he got the hump and moved out when Colin came along. Moved in with a lady down the road and we've only seen him a couple of times since when he came in to nick some food and punch Colin in the ear'ole. We think the lady has moved away now and taken Brian with her.
We've also got another cat called "Dob" because she is mainly white but has some marks on her like she has been "dobbed" with a paintbrush....the wife's idea of a name!
