How far have you hit it? obviously be all down wind, probably out the 1st cut, with big bounces. Only criteria is it mustnt have come off the green stuff. Doesnt even have to be driver.

Ive seen a wedge go 180

My bests, are a 8i that went around 185 and last night a 6i that went around 230

Imagine they where the norm :whoo:

I hit a 250 5 wood last week, went through the back of the green on a 540 yard par 5!

My PP on the same round hit a 355 yard drive! Left himself 135 in to a par 5 and missed the green!

Last night I hit a wedge about 190. So thin it was unbelievable. First hole, first bogey of many!

Have hit a driver 370 before. Wind right up my backside and caught it beautifully and it just kept going. Off the medal tees, 10 yards short of the green. Ended up with a 5!

I once hit a drive 410 yards, it was on the 18th on the Upper course at Hainault Forest in the middle of summer(the ball ended up on the fringe of the green). If you have played the hole you will understand how.;)

I once hit a pro shop, clubhouse and a buggy in one shot. All from about 200 yards with a #4 hybrid. Shame the pin was only 150 yards away.

the few stand outs according to game golf.

353 with driver, wasn't wind assisted. I honestly have no idea how it went that far and I had 20 witnesses queuing on the first tee behind me when I hit it. :D
285 with a 3 hybrid
201 yard 7i. It did say I had a 242 7i but I must have forgot to tag a shot as there's no way I hit that.

Drive-375 in front of ex captains, it rolled past the group in front, which contained the lady captain...

190 yard 4 iron to 8 feet, missed the par putt...

Hit a 9 iron flush 160 yards, on a 130 yard par 3

forum distance is one yard further than anyone else.
i really dont care to much how far i hit ,all i need is a look at what im hopefully going to to do, if i think i can get there with a 6 iron then i will use a 6 iron ,conversely if i dont think i can reach at all with my weapons ,then i will play what i think is the best lay up for my next shot.
actual distance i can and have hit my driver has been close to 300 yds a couple of times but my norm is probably around 240yds ,thats rollout included.

yep I know it and have played it....but for sheer daftness you cannot beat the 18th on the America's course at LaCala in Spain.

Its a 550yd par 5, slightly downhill for the first 250 yards to a corner where it turns 90 degrees left and descends down a slope that Alpine skiers would be wary of tackling. I'm claiming a 450yd drive at this hole after hitting my normal 230yd drive to the corner where it caught the slope and carried on forever leaving me 100 yards exactly into the green.

One of the guys I was playing with hit his drive through the dogleg and fetched up behind a tree. His only option was to chip out at 45*.....his ball ended up with 5 yards of carry and 225 yards of roll.

Silly.

Haha I love that hole. Hit some monster drives down there. Going to La Cala in 3 weeks for a week unlimited golf, can't wait!

My most notorious was a 62 degree lob wedge, meant to be 40 yds to the green, thinned it, air mailed the 7th (my target green) and the 1st green, cleared the 1st fairway, hit stone wall, ricocheted about 30 feet into the air, landed on the down slope of the 2nd, rolled a bit before stopping about 150yds away from my original target, needed my 7 iron to get back to where I wanted to be.

accordingly to my gamegolf stats

a 262yd 5 iron - i vaguely remember this one and how thin it was
217yard 7 iron
but the one at topped the lot was a 171 yard lob wedge that hit the cart path about 3 yards left of the green, i was only 40yards short and ended up having to take a 9iron to get back the green when it finished rolling down the path!

A couple of weeks ago I hit driver 15 yards forward and 25 yards right...smothered it left and hit a tree trunk off the 10th tee, bounced 90* right, bounced off the pro shop roof, pinged up off a slate sloped roof next to the pro shop, tapped on the window of the clubhouse and came to settle in a gutter.

Several people came out to see what the fuss was about/whether they were being air raided, and all I could do was this face -> :mmm:

Then slice the next one.

Forest Pines here I come...

Longest with driver is around 360yd mark, it was I think the par 5 16th on the Eden course. The wind from the estuary was blowing big time, warm day and firm ground - certainly helped.
