Well, we've got new teams, the return of Schumacher, Alonso in a Ferrari, Button v Hamilton at McLaren and fantastic coverage on the good old BBC.

All we need now is to see some overtaking. The last time I spoke to Bernie E he just laughed at my suggestions of putting oil on the track or making the drivers wear blindfolds every 5 laps. Shame, those would spice things up no end.

Pit stops will be better, now they have got rid of the refuelling. Back to the days of the sub 3 second pit stop. Much more exciting.

Probably still won't watch though.

It will have to get a lot better to entice me back. I used to be a great fan of F1 in the old days, but find watching a procession just so boring. Touring cars are much more exciting.
Why is it not in HD this year?

well I for one can't wait for the F1 just for the lack of proper racing.

I still think that although there may not be a hugh number of overtaking and one-on-one, side-by-side charges for the next corner that formula 1 as a whole is still the best all round racing on the go.

and Shuey will push the young pretenders as much as his car will permit. He wouldn't have signed on the line if he thought the car wouldn't be semi capable

I used to like touring cars 20 years ago, but then there became too many categories, too few manufacturers, too many rules, and the racing got a bit lost. Not watched it since.

2 wheeled action is the thing to watch if you want to see overtaking and close racing.

As for F1....they should bring back turbo's and 'ground effects'. - I won't be watching!

Formula 1 is boring. They need to introduce zebra crossings with random grannies stepping out, and itinerant shopping trolleys in the road, and traffic lights (badly phased of course) and lollipop ladies and...

Oh, F1 could be so much more entertaining. Me thinks there's no merit in a sport that's just weeeee-aahhhhh ...

Moto GP Is proper mad racing. How do these guys come off at silly speeds and their first thought is can I get back on it and ride?

It genetic ..... the little known stupid gene

Seriously it just pure adrenalin. When I did my last competitive enduro I got knocked off by a tw@t and hit a tree stump with my hip. I got back on the bike and completed the remaining four laps with no problems. The next day my hip had swollen to twice its size and I had a bruise which covered the top of my leg and even my privates were bruised. I could hardly walk let alone ride a motorbike.

Mind you its been nearly two years since then and I'm still suffering even after three cortisone injections and heaps of physio :(

Read somewhere recently that its estimated that F1 has lost approximately 80million viewers over the last few seasons, and continues to do so at an alarming rate.......
If yesterdays was anything to go by, its continuing to do so..... I switched on with 4 laps to go and all they had to talk about was whether Rosberg could catch Vettel for 4th place, and whether Alonso could protect his 15second lead....

YAWN.

11th April is when the entertainment begins with Moto GP in Qatar......
Search for Moto GP Catalunya 2009 if you need convincing

and the first eight to finish were - the first eight on the grid - shock!

dunno what Webber did, and Vettel only dropped back 'cos his car wasn't red.

reverse the grid - you know it makes sense
