Was home up north to see the family last week and tried to get on with our reciprocal to Hillside but the only day i could play it was ladies day so couldn't get on, shame.
I called a friend who's a pro at Formby Hall and we got a time for Formby Golf Club Tuesday morning 9:38am.
On arrival it was nippy to say the least but by the 3rd the temp had gone up some and it was a mild sunny winter morning with not a cloud in the sky and no wind.
Played Hillside, Southport & Ainsdale so i was looking forward to playing this course, it really didn't disappoint.
Greens were fast and true, fairways were immaculate and only for the 16th par 3 having a temp green for because of work the whole course was stunning.
Pic attached of the view back down the 13th.If you get a chance you should really play this course. IMAG0654_1.jpg

Playing Royal Cinque tomorrow, no golf for months and all of sudden a busy week!! Love it and will make the most of it!

Formby is an excellent course, I call it a hybrid course because although its a links course, it has a heathland and parkland feel to it also.

I'm playing at Formby Ladies on Wednesday and I'm really looking forward to it as I've heard only good things about it.

Yea great mix of everything.
Friend played formby ladies last week and said that too unwashed in great condition.
That runs inside the normal 18 layout but you don't see any of the holes hardly, it's hidden very well.
