forgot to boast about a win

two weeks ago our club had our charity day. 4 man texas scramble. we are a very small club 54 members ( no not an exclusive posh club) but play on a muni course. we pick a local charity or cause to donate to. this year it was for the local womens aid. for being a very small club the prizes were very good 3 0r 4 4 balls at local courses. and some 4 ball to auction Prestwick and Prestwick St Nics.
now im not the best golfer but i love playing texas scrambles. i think i enjoy the team part of it. well we only went and won it 6 under scratch brilliant day and company.
first prize fourball at glasgow gailles (which we had just played the week before on our outing. and its a course on my list
we raised just over a 1000 pounds for a local charity which was slightly down from last year but money is tight.
i havent won anything yet on my own but hopefully this will push me on to better things

Well done, good amount of cach for charity too. Who did you donate it to?

north ayrshire womans aid, we pick a different charity/cause every year. we try and pick one which dont get any or little funding. we are only a small club but yes a not bad amount to give them.

Nice going - I think team events are more stress than singles as I always worry about letting the others down - although in singles some of the abusive language when I miss is very severe
