Evening fella's
I managed to get my 1st game in yesterday which is the 1st in about 4 weeks. I couldn't beleive how nervous and uncomfortable i was on the 1st tee. I stood there and I couldn;t remember where to position the ball so I kept fidgiting. I was nervous on every shot. I managed to score an embarrasing 11 points on the front 9. It very slowly started to come together on the back 9 and I began to get my confidence back.
Icouldn't believe how 4 weeks out can change my game.

Know how you feel. Also got my first game in since mid December and didnt have any feel with the putter. Hoping the worst of the bad weather is done with and can get back playing regular ahead of the comps season starting April.

How do you think I feel, my first game since the aborted January medal will be the February medal - and the first outing with the new stick.
Talk about in at the deep end!
Still shouldn't suffer from over-confidence anyway.

Played today, with a crocked shoulder. 23 points and I think I played ok. Not too worried about scores in Jan, it is more about the swing.

Get in!!!!!

At last managed to play, 18 temps but I couldn't care less. Shot a 1 over par 71 for 39 points, greens were drying out by the minute so hopeful of being back on proper greens for the winter 4ball tomorrow.

As an aging paedophile once said, It's good to be back.

My first proper outing tomorrow, fingers crossed. Matchplay stage of our winter league. The good thing is both sides will be as rusty as each other.

Had a mare down the range this morning. Couldn't hit an iron if my life depended on it but the driver, woods and hybrid were behaving well - go figure!

Went up to Ascot this afternoon. Fully open and played the front nine. Kept the ball in play but still not hitting my irons well and my shortgame was non-existant (rusty doesn't even cover it). Fortunatley my friend the v-easy and 30 minutes on the putting green got me rocking my shoulders more and not using my wrists so we'll see what the stableford offers tomorrow. I'm first out so at least I could potentially be clubhouse leader for a while

I haven't played since the end of October but I'm heading out for the Captains Drive-In tomorrow, 3 ball scramble with the names drawn out of a hat, I feel sorry for whoever's on my team. I was at the range on Wednesday & it went exactly as you would expect, going to head again tonight to see if I can at least get some improvement.
