Just thought I would let you fella's know if you are ever in the Humberside/Lincolnshire area you MUST play the above course. I live around 20 miles away from this course and played it for the first time last weekend.

I AM IN LOVE !!!!!

I cannot believe I have not played it sooner as I have never played golf on such an amazingly manicured course with such smooth true greens.
The fairways are cut neater than my clubs greens !!

I also could not believe I can join this place for £75 a month with no joining fee.

Sorry to bore anyone who will never be venturing up north but if you are believe me you must play this one !!

What are green fees there now, I havent played it for a while and it used to be expensive, I wouldnt mind another bash round there..

Barney, shame on you for taking so long to play it. Did you play all 27?
Shame about the change to the clubhouse layout, I preferred the old style and take a load of cash with you, its not cheap in the bar and restaurant and a £50 greenfee
Still my favourite course for miles around. :)

I live quite close as well Barney, I agree it is fantastic. I heard that they were going to do a lot of work and make it 36 holes but were having trouble with planning, do you know any more?

We used 2-4-1 vouchers and paid £25 each. In my opinion was worth every penny. It was immaculate !

Hey thats not bad at all, I think I might just save some sheckles and trot on down there as I love that course too.
I used to play it often till new people took over and everything rocketed, seems to have settled down a little now. :D

Tell me about the club house being expensive, WOW !!!

Yeah we played both loops, Fantastic !!!

The par 3 over 180 yards of water was a real interesting hole to say the least !!!LOL

Tis a lovely course, very very nice. You have to be straight with all those Pine tree lined fairways, but its beautiful.

A bit too 'corporate' apparently, so not sure what membership would be like to deal with, but well worth a visit.

No I never heard about that.
I could not believe Scunthorpe could hold such a thing of beauty (No disrespect to the people of Scunny !!)

Course looks pretty stunning. Not that far from me, certainly commutable so will have to see if I can persuade a few of my usual group to head up for a round.

I sense a meeting arising :) with a meal at the chippy around the corner :p

Forrest Pines would be a great place for a meet, it was a quality course when I used to play it and by the sound of it, still is top quality.

I was going to do a write up about this the other week but got sidetracked, its an absoloute beauty. I like the way you can mix the 3 courses up and choose your own 18 holes.I put 3 balls in the drink on the par 3 on the forest 9, but when i played the pines i put it within 3ft of the stick on the pines par 3 over the drink.

The mrs paid for a weekends golf at the westerwood in scotland for me for xmas but Golf Breaks messed our booking up, so we ended up booking Forest Pines instead. Ended up bladdered in scunny on the saturday night

:D :D ;)

Must admit i've never seen so many ugly women in one place as i did in scunny :D

I could certainly be tempted for a meeting. Need to track down a few 2-4-1 vouchers first though having just paid for the Belfry trip

Be careful though Guys. I played the 'humble' golf course I am a member of today after playing Pines last week and I felt riddled with guilt.
It felt like I had been lucky enough to have a brief affair with a stunning 18 yr old girl and then today I had to return to the wife and was gutted to back in the boring world of reality. If you get my gist !!!!

Bloody good job the wife don't read this !!!
