Why is it, when we fix one problem another shows it's head. I used to consider driving a strength in my game. Am yet to break 90 but always felt it was because I duffed my irons. Hours at the range and today I hit 93. But..... That's because I had to reload 4 times. 8 extra bleeding shots!!

have a lesson booked in for Monday but got 3 rounds this weekend.

And nd swing thoughts you guys can suggest that might help with a slice?

its not horrendous as such, just unfortunate that the four that were wildest also have oob on the right.

Any wisdom appreciated!!

You will be swinging out to in and probably with an open clubface.

Try, taking a stronger grip and pulling your right foot back around four inches at address.

Should help.

I've just left my driver out of the bag. Like you say, it's wasted shots. Assuming you're hitting 14 drives, and each drive averages 250, you're taking 22 shots to hit 3,500 yards, ~160 yards per shot. So hitting driver is advancing it at the same rate as hitting 6/7 irons.

So I'd consider leaving the driver at home - hitting 3 or 5 wood off the tee may cost you 1 or 2 shots per round, but that's far less than the 8 you're losing with your driver.

I may do that if a quick tweak at range in morning doesn't sort it. Last four holes today I went with 4 iron and it didn't harm me too much. Generally hope to get on most greens 1 over gir and 2 putt. But in long run I want a driver that works lol.

I want ant my cake and to eat

You'll likely have an out to in swing path.
Often caused by taking the club back in the takeaway too much on an inside line kinda round back behind the legs & up.

You need to have an in to out swing path back & through the ball to stop the slice.

Make sure you can see 2& a half knuckles at address on your left hand, both hands hold the club in the fingers not the palms. Both the left & right hand 'V's (between thumbs & forefingers) need to point towards your right shoulder & not your chin.

So then you'll need first to take the club away straighter back for the first 12" - 18" in your takeaway (don't whip it around behind you by breaking your wrists) then just turn shoulders & make sure you complete the shoulder turn.

Feel at the top as if you leave your back looking at the target while you start your transition down to impact first from weight into your lead foot & not by starting downswing with your shoulders & arms & club.

Then feel you swing down from the inside to swing through impact contacting the back inside quarter of the ball, if on the tee put the makers name in position at that back inside quarter facing you to see better the line through impact from the inside to out right.

You have to make yourself swing out to the right through the ball to get the ball not to slice right.

While I agree in the long run you'll need to fix the swing path, for this weekend I guess you're looking for a temporary tweak.
As has been said already, your club is traveling left of the target at impact and your clubface is pointing right of the target.
You need to fix both these issues in one go.
Here's what I suggest......
You wont be able to change your swing path in one day so let it go where it wants to go but aim right. That way, your swing will now be straighter.
And to stop the ball starting off to the right you'll need to turn your grip to the right a little/lot.
If you can manage both those things, both your swing path and clubface will be pointing straighter which will reduce the amount of slice.
